π Alberta's got big plans for rail travel! They're launching a 15-year Passenger Rail Master Plan to amp up train services across the province. Premier Danielle Smith says it's time to tackle traffic with cool new rail lines connecting cities, airports, and scenic spots. It's all about making travel smoother and more fun in Alberta! π Quebec is spending bigβ$603 millionβto amp up French! π¨π¦ They want to boost language courses, make local content on streaming sites easy to find, and improve French skills for everyone. Some say it needs more oomph to make French the go-to at work. (Read here)

This program helps out a lot of people who need affordable transit options. Luckily, after the mayors spoke up, the province changed its mind the next day. They want WhatsApp to spill the beans on who sends what, but WhatsApp's like, "No way, that's our encryption game!" π So now they're waving the "We might leave" flag if things don't go their way. π AstraZeneca's vaccine admitting it can cause blood clots has set off a big fuss in India. Doctors were aware of this risk, but now there's curiosity about why it got the thumbs up from the government. Even though there's a chance of rare clotting issues (within a month of the shot), doctors still say it's a safer bet than dealing with severe COVID-19. So, no need to stress too much about it! Yesterday Immigration Canada opened up the much-awaited 2024 Intake for the P&G Sponsorship program. If you are the lucky one who had a chance to submit the interest back in 2020, you are still in luck.
Starting May 21, 2024, the Immigration Department is going to send 35,700 invitations over approximately 2 weeks. Keep an eye on the inbox once it starts.
I am also on the lookout π , so I wish you and myself the best of luck. We all know how expensive and uncertain it gets when you bring your loved ones on a travel visa.
Are You a Working Student in Canada? New Off-Campus Work Hours Policy Announced!
April 29, 2024, sees Minister Miller setting a limit on off-campus work hours for international students.
In the fall, this limit will change to 24 hours per week. The goal is to help students focus on their studies while still having some work flexibility. This change is based on research showing too much work can hurt grades.
