• Westlock, a town in Alberta, to get rid of rainbow crosswalk after town votes on neutrality bylaw. The Town of Westlock's only rainbow crosswalk will be removed after residents of Westlock, Alta., voted in favour of a neutrality bylaw to ban crosswalks and flags that support 'political, social, or religious movements or commercial entities. • ‘No justice, no closure’: Family of Jaahnavi Kandula as US police officer is let off the hook. In September 2023, an audio emerged wherein an officer investigating the case could be heard joking about her death, and saying it had limited value and a cheque for $11,000 would suffice.
