Wow! I am sure you already have a ton of photos from last night’s aurora show, and if not, you have already seen that everywhere on your social media.

Along with that, we have some sad news coming in from Alberta. The wildfire has officially started as feared. Fort McMurray is the first one to experience an uncontrollable wildfire. You can check the government site's current status before planning your weekend outing. If you are in Edmonton, you are already seeing the smoky weather.

The feds have given B.C. the green light to crack down on using illegal drugs in public spots, effective right away. The Mental Health and Addictions Minister says it's a health crisis, not a crime one. (Watch here)

  • 😔 Oopsie! Arielle Townsend’s Canadian citizenship got Canceled after 32 years because of a decades-old mistake!  Now she’s gotta fight to get back what she’s had since she was a baby. Bureaucracy can be such a hassle, right? (Read here)

  • 🎓 Canada’s been playing favorites with international students, bringing in a ton for business gigs but not enough for healthcare or trades. Meanwhile, healthcare and trades are like, “Hello? We need people too!”. Experts are saying, "Hey, let's match the students to the jobs we actually need!" Minister Marc Miller's on it, planning to chat about getting things in sync. This makes up about 3% of India's GDP, with 36% coming from high-skilled workers in developed nations. The World Bank predicts this trend will continue to rise in 2024, setting India apart globally.
